Bu çalışmam hayatın üç evresini temsil eden üç kurukafayı bir araya getiriyor. Aralarından yalnızca birinin başında yanan mum ; insanın gerçekten yaşadığı, arzuladığı ve ruhunu beslediği tek dönemi simgeliyor. Mum sadece o evreye ait olsa da etkisi diğer iki evreye de yansımaya çalışıyor. Böylece tablo, hayatın bütününü aydınlatan ve diğer zamanlara anlam veren şeyin insanın ruhunu besleyip kendini var ettiği o tek anı bulmak üzere olduğunu hatırlatıyor.
This work brings together three skulls, each representing a different stage of life. Only one of them carries a burning candle on its head; this candle symbolizes the single period in which a person truly lives, desires, and nourishes their soul. Although the candle belongs solely to that stage, its light tries to reach the other two as well. In this way, the piece reminds us that what illuminates the whole of life and gives meaning to all other moments is the quest to find that one period in which we feed our spirit and affirm our existence.
